While at Logan, I was given this project to complete without any assistance (with the exception of the globe texture) in a time span of six weeks. The total length of the animation is around 25 seconds. It aired on Current as an opener for the "Buzz" program.

Modeling of buildings in such a way to make animation, and deconstruction possible.

More Info:
This project took barely three weeks for the team at Logan to create, followed by six months of swapping textures to local bands in order to air the spot world-wide. The wide shot is composed of nearly 80,000 animated album covers, and had to be rendered in seven different layers. Each layer was over 100meg and took 15 minutes to save.

Contrary to popular belief, what you are seeing here is not made with particles. It is actually a bunch of individual objects all keyframed using a custom mel script. The shot was made by a team of five people, and took only a couple of hours to animate. It was the climax to a very impressive motion test that convinced Steve Jobs to up the budget for the project, and instead of playing only in France and Germany, it was set to air worldwide.
