The Trees That I've Drawn Are So Beautiful
The trees that I've drawn are so beautiful,
that the birds that I'm going to draw,
the clouds that I'm going to draw.
the pond and the flowers,
that I'm going to draw,
don't match it.
I went to break the ice by the stream,
broke the spring with blood and tears,
by the time the flowers bloom,
it forgets and truly forgives me.
My eyes are big enough to hold the mountains,
big enough to hold the sea,
big enough to hold the blue sky,
big enough to hold the whole world,
my eyes are small enough to hold even two lines of tears,
when something worries me.
burned a hole in the night.
I just wrote a poem in the sun,
to try to tan it like an ancient poem,
pretend to have been circulated,
for tens of thousands of years.
